The PassCo Way
The PassCo Way

PassCo was formed to solve a problem identified in the educational system of Ghana. Students in the junior and senior high school levels were exhibiting poor performance levels in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Various solutions were introduced into the educational system including but not limited to extra tuition classes for students, training programs to improve teaching skills, increased subsidies for teachers and extra resources for schools. All these methods marginally improved the learning abilities of the students, but failed to adequately prepare candidates for their examinations.

The PassCo Suite of software seeks to computerise the process of preparing for the various examinations. PassCo uses a combination of different modules to assess the students’ strengths and weaknesses. Students work through a variety of tried and true past examination questions, as well as potential exam questions. Their work is graded and analysed by the PassCo computer program using the approved syllabus. Students are then made aware of areas that need improvement and tasked to better their knowledge in the said subject area. Students are able to practice using past and potential examination questions within the computer program, under simulated exam conditions. The PassCo suite of software helps improve the examination performance of students by increasing their knowledge in the subject matter and raising their confidence levels.
